Finally.......a Magic the Gathering post

Well everybody after long last I bring to you my first post on Magic the Gather. However instead of talking about Core Set 2013 I'm going to talk about the Return to Ravnica set coming out TODAY October 5th. So this post will serve as a jump in point for what new things you can expect at the new FNM standard this weekend, but how can I talk about a set that has just come out you ask? Well this past weekend was prerelease weekend for RtR, and of course I took part. As a forewarning this post will not contain pictures of the full product and will be generic in nature while I describe the set I played with, so for a full review of the stuff you get wait for the video review that will be put out sometime this week (I'll put the link here when the video goes up). Now let's get on with the post.

So what's been going on.

Hey guys, so I know when i started this new blog I was talking about all the content I wanted to post on here and that obviously that hasn't been happening. So this post I wanted to talk about why I haven't been posting. To put it plainly I have just started my freshman year in college, so the summer was spent working and prepping to leave for school. The current plan is that in the coming weeks I'm going to start putting up content and hopefully the podcast will also start up again soon. Once all this stuff starts rolling off the production line it should continue at a decent rate, but for now the youtube channel is still going and videos are weekly on either Tuesday or Thursday. So please bear with me while I try to put everything together after my first couple of big assignments.

MS Point cards and XBox live membership card recalls?

Hey guys.

So this post is just a brief little food for thought. So I was a work today (I'm a floor supervisor at Kroger) and one of my cashiers tried to ring up a Microsoft points card for a kid, 1600 point to be exact, and it came up saying the item is under recall. Now the kid did say that the Block Buster next door told him the same thing when he tried to buy one there. After he left me and another employee scanned a bunch of 1600 point cards only to get the same error, we then tried a 4200 point card and XBox live member ship cards only to keep getting the error. I don't know what is exactly going on with it, and i couldn't find reports of this happening in other places. Hopefully this isn't happening because of the supposed phase out of the cards. So that's it for today guys, and expect the MTG 2013 post by the weekend.

The Amazing Spiderman

Hey guys what's going on?

Alright so let's get down to this week's ramblings. The topic of which (if you missed the title) is the new Spiderman movie.

Welcome, welcome and again welcome!

What's going on guys? I just wanted to start with a brief introduction to the blog, a sort of declaration of intents if you will. I decided to leave the old reviews of a high school geek blog because I wanted to refresh the podcast and put in a new feed to apple so the title will be correct. So this blog will now be the home of the Geek Talks podcast. Also the podcast is changing in format and I want this new blog to reflect that. So once maybe twice a week I'll post a sort of editorial on a single topic that I feel is relevant and I have a decent opinion on. I will also link what youtube videos I shoot here. So thank you and thank you again for listening. Sit back and enjoy what future content there is to come.
